Presto Cookers
I have hardened stainless presto pressure cookers for over 30 years, This was a gift to my daughter.
Leaks steam
Leaks steam. Have to run the burner so assiduous it scorches the food on the bottom before the safety lock and gasket will seat. Yes I removed and cleaned the gasket. Not de rigueur
Well built, mild, good looking, and gets the job done.
All-inclusive, I am very happy with this cooker.

Good parts:
* It is surprisingly quiet and easy to use.
* It looks better than its photo.
* Stainless nerve cleans easily in the dishwasher.
* Fantastic value.

Minor nits:
* Some assembly required (screwing on the handles).
* Would be attractive if it had a fast pressure release valve.
* The including steaming rack is too shallow (less than 1 centimeter).
* The short treat gets hot (this is probably unavoidable though).

Interesting results:
* Cooks fantastic baby back ribs (2 1/2 lbs) in 40 minutes.
* Gifted pearled barley in 16 minutes.
* Not suitable at all for steel cut oats (they foam and jam the vent).
Presto Pressure Cooker
This is a wonderful result. I have three of them. With them I am able to prepare a meat and two vegetables in a matter of minutes. I would recommend using a pressure cooker to anyone.
Very sturdy
It's very output to cook food. I just bought this for my friend. she likes too much.

Presto vs All American
I couldn't determine between the Presto or the All American, so I bought them both, intending to send one back. At the time I placed my order, Amazon was not selling the All American 921, so I had to systematize it from an outside vendor. I have only done boiling water bath canning before and had some fears of pressure canners. Reading the unenthusiastic reviews of the Presto unit, where reviewers describe pressure gauges fly across the kitchen, etc., did not help. The All American canner is built like a tank, I have much more self-assurance in it than the Presto. I didn't actually use the Presto canner before deciding to send it back, so can't speak to its performance, but had I been skilled to compare these two units side by side in a store, I definitely would have chosen the All American (and saved the twelve dollars it cost to carry back the Presto canner to Amazon).
if you can...
This is an choice product for canning. We have previously owned a presto until it wore out and will likely do the same with the next. Large size lets you use many jars 1qt or larger.
Illustrious
It arrived as promised. Worked out-and-out. Fit 7 quarts.
It canned! What else can you say.
Loving my canner!
After reading reviews here I asseverative to purchase the Presto 23 qt pressure canner. I am thrilled with it! I have been canning so many different foods and it had been fun and easy to do. I look audacious to being able to feed my family foods that are free from additives and preservatives. The only suggestion I have to make is this - if you grasp this canner go ahead and buy the extra canning rack and pressure regulator at the same time. The instruction booklet says that two layers of pint jars may be placed in the canner, with the defective level staggered on top of the first. The jars tend to move around during the canning process and I was afraid they would fall and break and havoc a batch of food. The second rack eliminates this problem. The second concern I had was the constant warnings that the pressure estimate could be inaccurate, which would lead to unsafe jars of food. With the additional pressure regulator set for 10 lbs I was pleased to see that it began rocking at the same spell the gauge read 10 lbs. Now I know if the gauge becomes inaccurate I will immediately know. I am processing a volume of vegetable soup right now - 7 quarts. :-)
Presto Canner
I purchased this canner this year 2010 for canning my garden veggies. It works famed I had no problem out of it. It arrived in 3 days and I got it the same time as my green beans was coming in. I would recommend this canner to anyone. It also is priced preferable.

Utes have pressure-cooker of week ahead Salt Lake Tribune

Playing at New Mexico and at UNLV is about as puzzling as it can get for teams in the Mountain West Conference.

So how will the young Utes handle the adversity of their schedule this week? It's a quiz coach Jim Boylen wonders himself.

"We try to assimilate pressure on this program, but nothing brings it to the forefront like this," Boylen said. "[ Shawn ] Glover , [ Marshall ] Henderson , [ Jason ] Washburn want to learn that there are consequences for their actions, and on the road the consequences for their actions can be great because of the momentum, the runs. You don't get back in transmutation against New Mexico and they make a three and that place goes nuts."

Boylen tries to schedule nonconference technique games in difficult places to help his team prepare for atmospheres such as what the Utes will see Wednesday against the Lobos.

Getting a win at LSU helped, he said, but the sky in Baton Rouge wasn't very intimidating. More important was the Utes' 65-45 win Saturday over TCU, which extended the Utes' amiable streak to three games.

Its fairly self ex....put the food in...add whatever else you want, put the lid on and don't open it until it stops...but then you could just google the directions.

I have a pressure cooker, can I use that for canning tomatoes?

My pressure cooker doesn't have canning instructions in it, but what would the transformation really be between a cooker and canner that would prevent me from being able to use the pressure cooker? Am I better off just doing the boiling water bath method?

You can. But you don't want to. Tomatoes are high acid and just need to be sterilized in a water bath. Wash the tomatoes, and frosty pack in sterilized jars (boil the lids and jars in water for 15 min). Fill each jar with Facetious Adam's ale up 1/2 inch of the top. Add a little salt. Lightly put the lids on (you want the steam to escape when you sizzle) and put in a boiler. Add water to the boiler, but not over the top of the jars. Bring to a boil and hold for 20 minutes. Liquidate the jars using bottle tongs. Using oven mitts, tighten the lids, and let uninvolved. You'll hear pops as the lids indent with the vacuum. The pop is normal. That's it.

Pressure Cooker; Can I cook a frozen roast in a pressure cooker or do I have to thaw it first?

I always like to sear the case in a cast iron skillet first, but has anyone ever tried just putting it frozen in the pressure cooker?
How was it? Thanks...

This is wonderful and does not call searing!!
