Fine shape - Iffy performance
The smaller build and tall sides are good. The pan holds a whole chicken, and fits on the back, mid-sized burner of my glass-top stove. Okay for not wash lavishly-based cooking, but tomato sauces will burn much easier than in my old aluminum Presto cooker. Also, the stainless steel takes longer to get pressurized. As unattractive as the old girl was, I miss the aluminum cooker.

Marvellous
Critical that is how this product works for me .I was very happy with the quality and very surprized at the way that it cleaned up. I had had presto cookers before but always the aluminum.The stainless is of obviously much prettier and does a good cooking job. Think no more buy one today.

Top of the True Canner, Great Service, Speedy Delivery
I have neutral received my Presto 23 quart pressure canner. I am delighted. It is exactly what I wanted and it can also double as a water-bath canner for quarts. The wonderful discount enabled me to purchase this canner. The raised bottom is also safe on glass and ceramic smooth-top ranges. I am looking flippant to doing a batch of applesauce. I have more than one Presto canner, and have found Presto to be very reliable. My original canner is a Presto Model 7B. It is made from cast aluminum and is still doing a skilful job. I think that the later models probably heat up and cool down faster, and they do have all the latest safety features.

Would Buy Again
The evaluation is good, and it performs. But the gaskets are very easy to blow out.

Best, This canner did the job that I needed for it to do, but after the fact for a first time the inside turned a different color. I can't make it net since. I was glad that I was not using it for anything else, If so I would have sent it back

Works excellent!
Have never canned anything before now- present the manual, easy to figure out. Had a hard time at first keeping the pressure steady- but that's probably due to our gas stove. Canner worked express and effiently - canned 12 pints of chicken - super easy. Even after washing though, still retained a unlikely chicken smell. Maybe that will go away? For price on Amazon, we got a great deal compared to other online and retail shops. Peach on around though for jars and accessories. Much cheaper at Walma**... than online. Happy Canning =)

AMTEC secures work into 2014 Janesville Gazette

— A Janesville maker has received a $33.6 million contract extension that should keep work at its plant into 2014.

The U.S. Department of Defense awarded the reach to AMTEC Corp, 4230 Capital Circle, for 40 mm grenade systems. The company had a almost identical contract scheduled to end this year.

AMTEC, a subsidiary of Eau Claire-based National Presto Industries, does articulate-of-the-art manufacturing and assembly for tactical and training ammunition, fuzing and firing devices. Built specifically for munitions manufacturing, the alacrity and personnel handle both high and low volume production items.

In a filing with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, Nationwide President Maryjo Cohen said AMTEC and one other contractor would supply all of the 40 mm family of warm-up and tactical ammunition rounds.

She said another award under the new contract is expected later this year, but the amount is dependent on defense conditional on funding.

Company officials in Janesville were unavailable for comment on the contract extension.

Defeat to follow mfg. instructions. You also need to specify if it is the old "clock type" guage, or the later undivided metal, round, guage. This one has holes that fit over the release valve on the lid, and each hole is for a certain amount of pressue. Ex. 5, 10, 15, lbs.
