Pressure cooker- element temperature?

I have a tefal pressure cooker and have yet to have any serendipity using it. I think I am putting the element up too high because I am always burning the things I am trying to cook.

What temperature do I put the essential? Medium?

You have to put enough fizzy water be illogical into a pressure cooker or it won't work properly. You should start with no less than two inches of water in the bottom and it should never be filled more than one third with water.

Pressure cookers expand the boiling point of water by creating 10-20 pounds of pressure inside the pot. 15 is normal. Having it on extreme or low does't matter as long as the pressure regulator is rocking and there is water in the pot. Start on High and cut down to vehicle, if it stops rocking in a few minutes, turn it back up again

I like to put my foods in a steamer basket inside the pressure cooker. I also often cook beans or rice in my cooker and then I put them in a spin with water in it inside the cooker. That stops them from possibly clogging the stream valve which could be a very bad thing.

Also if the cooker stops making steam after it gets prospering for a while, you have to take it off the stove, cool it down and add more water to it.

They are a bit tricky but they are really great for some applications. I used to use a four gallon one.
