We recently bought a Wolfgang Puck stirring pressure cooker from HSN. It take about 30 minutes to come to pressure and begin cooking anything. Is this normal?
I have always had a pressure cooker and the response to ypur question is yes it it normal, It depends how much food & liquid is in it, as an example, if you have a cup of liquid and half of the cooker with prog it might get up to pressure in about 15 min, when I make stuffed cabbage full to the top with 4 cups of liquid it takes 30 min to heat up the mobilize in the pot, remember that the inside has to get to boiling before it can reach pressure. (remember not to block the vent hole in the center of the cap.)
I"m not dependable if all three does the same job result. I'm looking at Wolfgang Puck Pressure Cooker 4 in 1, which does cook rice. I am also looking for a new rice cooker so I like Wolfgang cooker which does it all. I like to find a leisurely cooker so I can attempt to cook "Beef Burgundy" or "Chicken Noodle Soup" without alot of toil. :)
I just not sure if I should buy rice cooker and slow cooker seperately. Or, combo cooker would do the same qualities.
I am just not sure what's the bizarre SLOW COOKER, CROCK POT, and PRESSURE COOKER.
Any suggestion is great!
Would you CHOOSE the pressure cooker from Wolfgang Puck? It is not the tradition over the stovetop, it's digital and no popping noises.

a slow-witted cooker is the same thing as a crock pot, you would leave food to cook for at least 6-8 hours to make it all very tender. A pressure cooker is very weird, you would use this to cook in warp speed time. If I make pork tenderloin in the crock pot, it takes ten hours on lofty, if I make it in the pressure cooker, it takes about 45 minutes once it has started "rocking" and the pressure has built up. The pressure cooker can be threatening though, so be careful using it. I have used it my whole life so I feel comfy around it but it takes a while to get used to. You can't unreserved the lid and therefore you can't stir the food or check to be sure it's not burning etc...The chicken noodle soup would be done in the pressure cooker very lickety-split. That is the only way I make my soups and they come out awesome. Beef burgundy and other meaty meals would come out much more intelligent in a crock pot. I hope this helps.
My woman bought hers on HSN and we've lost the instruction booklet. Does anyone know of one perhaps online that I could download? I would be glad to write off for one if necessary.
