The last several wedding ceremony cakes I have done have been iced with fondant. I against to shy away from using fondant at all costs until I found a technique on the Internet for marshmallow fondant. It is basically melted marshmallows and powdered sugar. I will run off the enforce technique later on this pier. I rapture the way my cakes look when I use the marshmallow fondant. I familiar to shiny my buttercream bonus to sound fondant, since I wouldn't toil with standard fondant because I kindliness it tasted unclean and was very fastidious to calling with. I must say I did a graceful wares job of smoothing it, but you could always give someone a tongue-lashing that it didn't have that very sleek porcelain fulfil that fondant cakes do. I was ratiocinative of trying to make a fondant covered cake for the first time. I have no special tools except a stand mixer and rolling pin. Can someone give me some tips as how to spread/scene it on the cake or some simple design ideas. I was thinking about trying the marshmallow fondant. It looks the easiest with out a lot of priceless ingredents.

Its unbelievably untroubled to work and use.
Hope I've helped, xxx
P.S. I love to make these little Easter sweets with the fondant. Merely roll and cut it up into egg shapes and put colored jelly sweets (Jelly Tots...) for the yolk. They are sooo ingenious!!!
