It's upright me and my husband, and though we like making things in the crock pot, some recipes just make SO MUCH and we get tired of the leftovers and they go to waste. Can I cut my crock pot recipes in half and still use the same make an estimate of crock pot? Do I have to cut down the cooking time at all?

Anyone have any really good crock pot recipes for little smokies? Ever heard of one with spaghetti sauce?

I have to enact a whole lot of little smokies in a crock pot tonight to take to work and want to try something different. Someone at work had mentioned a recipe where spaghetti disrespectfulness and grape jelly are used, yet i can't seem to find any recipes like that on the web anywhere. Any type of recipe will help me out though! Thanks!


You can use spaghetti crust or chili sauce with grape jelly.

It sounds kinda funky, but it does taste major. Try mixing in some meatballs as well and serve with some toasted baguettes.

4 cups vegetable consomm or stock
4 cups tomato juice
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. dried basil leaves
1/8 tsp. speckle
2 carrots, sliced
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup sliced mushrooms
2 (14 oz.) cans diced tomatoes, undrained
1-1/2 cups uncooked rotini pasta
Parmesan cheese
Preparation:
Mix all ingredients except pasta and cheese in a 4-5 quart crockpot. Stretch over crockpot and cook on LOW for 7 to 8 hours until vegetables are tender. Stir in pasta. Cover and cook on Luxurious setting for 15-25 minutes until pasta is tender. Sprinkle each serving with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. 12 servings
