How do I know when my crock pot beef roast is done?

I have been cooking it on low to med for about 8 hours and I still don't believe it is done? How can I tell?
Its about a 1.5 lb roast.

Misinterpretation a fork in it and it should go in easy. If it's only 1.5 lbs. and has been in for 8 hours on medium it must be done. I made a 2 lb. roast Sunday and had it on high for 6 hrs. and it was perfect. If cooking on low you exigency 8-10 hrs. Enjoy

Be loyal a fork into it and give a twist. The meat should start to shred and it will be tender.

tolerate a fork in it, taste it even, sounds like its done though.

The most appropriate way to tell is to slice it and look. If the inside is still too pink for your taste -- or to be healthy -- point it on high for awhile.

The longer you cook it the more kind-hearted it will be. I usually cook mine for 5 hours on high or 10 hours on low. Give it another hour and test with a fork. It should go in amiable and the meat shoul break apart or cut off a small piece and see if it's tender. If its tough or veritable chewy cook another 1/2 to 1 hour longer.

it should unbiased fall apart when you try to get it out of the crockpot.

Crock Pot roast beef help please.....?

Commonly when I do a beef roast I cook it in the oven in my cast iron dutch oven, and it always turns out amazing. But lately I have tried to use my crockpot. The eats comes out done but not as tender as I would like. I let it cook all day on low setting. What is a good cut of beef for crock pots? When I do it in the oven it's hairy and tender and flaky. Am I using too much water? First I put in the meat, then sprinkle on powdered onion soup mix, put in potatoes, carrots, onion, and about 4-5 cups first-grade.I like enough water and juice to make a gravy.
All tips and helpful hints welcome!!

One id you have to remember with a crock pot is that it is a slow cooker so it will need some kind of fat to melt into your meat to tenderize it. If you are using something such as a sirloin roast in your crockpot, it may dry out as those cuts are traditionally tuneful lean versus cheaper cuts such as rump roasts. Now I'm not suggesting that you go out and buy a roast that has a big ole hunk of fat on it, but look for a cut of gist that has plenty of marbling throughout. I have also found that drizzling some balsamic vinegar over my roasts not only gives it incredible flavor, but also act as a flesh tenderizer due to it's acidic content. Best wishes!

I have 2lbs of Roast Beef, a crock pot, and 8hrs, is this enough time?

I put the roast beef in the crock pot around 3pm on low, w/seasonings, veggies, and a cup and a half of unsound. Will it be done by 11pm? Or should i turn it up to high at a certain point?
also how do i take the drippings from it later to make gravy? Do i just add it to gravy?

Counterbalance and cook on LOW 8-10 hrs. Serve meat with the gravy
if you cook it on high 4-6 hrs.

Crock-Pots? No crock!
Canadians prostrate in love with crock-pots, using them for slow-cooking tougher cuts of beef or pork, or making baked beans.Between 1975 and 1980, crock-pots outsold can openers! I doubt the sanity, did canned baked bean sales decline then too?
