Spicing up CrockPot Pot Roast?

Greetings!

I had dinner over at my neighbors gratis earlier this week and she served crockpot pot roast. While the meat was incredibly tender, it was somewhat bland. I'd like to recreate the approach and she explained that all she did was buy a chuck roast, put salt, pepper and Lawry's seasoning on it and put it in her crockpot.

Is there anyway for me to add some additional flavor to the provender?

Thanks very much!

Add a bale of dry onion soup mix, 1/2 cup red wine, garlic, a little crushed red pepper, seasoned amass, 2 bay leaves, and a can of beef broth. Cook for 8-10 hours. You can also add potatoes, carrots, celery, and a quartered onion.

I use red wine, bay leaf, onion and garlic. And Attic wit and pepper.

Buy a beef or steak rub and rub it on the flesh before you put it into the crock pot.

Emeril makes one that is very very good. They usually sell them in the spice or marinade aisle.

Lipton Onion Soup Mix sweep it with about 1 1/2 cups of water, put it in our crockpot. Afterwords I strain the juice and make a lovely gravy to go over mashed potatoes.

Try lemon and lime and soused and McCormicks butter nutmeg.

I love chrotchpot pot roast. it makes a good meal, with tons of flavor.-Marty Jean Baker

Add a mob of dry onion soup mix, 1/2 cup red wine, garlic, a little crushed red pepper, seasoned relish, 2 bay leaves, and a can of beef broth. Cook for 8-10 hours. You can also add potatoes, carrots, celery, and a quartered onion.

I like caramelizing 1 sliced onion then adding beef bouillon and bay leaf...

I use garlic, onions, potatoes, carrots, mottle, Lawry's, oregano, parsley, paprika, and one packet of Lipton's onion soup mix.

Add a Bouqet Garni.
1 bouquet of parsley
3 sprigs of thyme
1 clove of garlic, peeled
2-3 bay leaves

Tie the herbs together with a long interest of string, so they can easily be removed from the casserole or stew at the end of cooking. Or tie the herbs in a small cloth bag seconded to a long piece of string. Add the bouquet garni at the start and leave in the dish for 2 hours

Look in the grocery store for McCormick pot roast sauce for crock pots...it is so good, and easy. You will find this in the aisle where they have the packages of gravy mix. If you like beef alarm, they also make a great crock pot stew mix, the meat comes out so tender.

Put your Roast in a skillet and sear it on both sides cash-box just brown to lock in the flavor . Then in the crock pot put in 1 package Lipton onion mushroom soup mix and 1 12 can of coke scheduled not diet whisk this together and add the roast then cook it for around 8 hours it is so tender and very good also it has its own gravy . When I fix this I always have mashed potatoes with it thats all you sine qua non unless you would like some salad or slaw hope you will try this recipe it is really good I got it from a church that has exclusive meals monthly.

I by oneself think you can never go wrong with garlic powder.

Why didn't my Crockpot Pot Roast have any flavor in my Meat?

I followed a marked receipe on making a pot roast in a crockpot however when it was done the meat was very bland. no flavor at all in the meat. I added spices and rubbed it into th grub the night before. One thenig that I did do that was not in the receipe was to brown the meat prior to placing it in the crockpot. the potatoes and other veggies picked up the flavor of the seasonings and liquids that I put in. Extremity help in getting the meat to taste better.

dont brown the crux before, let the ingrdients cook together so that the flavors blend, also use a flavor injector and inject the seasonings under the skin or top layer of the nourishment... if you don't have a flavor injector then do a small, neat cut under the skin or top layer of the meat and rub the seasonings on there and also add some to the liquefied it all cooks in...
