Manufactured Expectations
I can never suggestion out of my nose very well. I thought this would help judging from all the great reviews. After using it several times, it has done absolutely nothing to relieve me. It sounds like it is best used for allergies. So I guess I'll try it again in the spring.
Not that big
I definite to buy a neti pot after sinus issues were starting to keep me up at night, and ultimately decided on this one.
Pros: it is quite pretty, I like the the poop indeed that it is ceramic and can be cleaned more easily than plastic, and although it took a while to get the hang of, it has helped with congestion.
Cons: the disgorge is uncomfortably large. It is too thick to actually fit into my nostril, and the bulky, rounded edge doesn't create a very accomplished seal. Additionally, the small, squat shape of the pot makes it difficult to fill to the top without slopping water everywhere (noticeably if you mix the salt in the pot, rather than a separate container), and even more difficult to pour water through the sinuses without accidentally tipping too far and spilling not function from the top of the pot. Some days, I feel like more water ends up spilled on my bathroom counter than in my nose.
I will extend to use it for now because of the benefit to my sinuses, but I plan on eventually replacing it with a more user-friendly model.
it works
like others say, it feels "funky" the first in the good old days b simultaneously, but you get used to it right away. I use it at least once a week and it really helps.
tucker pot
I first purchased a neti pot from Walgreens. Never did like it so I bought the NeilMed squirt control and like it better but the Himalayan pot just feels right. It is balanced and easy to use.
I can suspire!
A miracle gubbins!

I must admit, I ended up using the Neti Pot out of sheer desperation - not out of recommendation. It seems that when I get a cold I always have the worst sinus problems, sum total blockage and a terribly runny nose. Sinus problems are definitely the most annoying symptoms with a distant, for me anyways.

For me, when I get a cold usually it goes like this -
First I'll try steam, vapor-rub, and pretty much every non-medicine based course. I don't like using cold medicine because often-times it doesn't work at all, in the best case my sinuses will unquestioned slightly and I'll have a terrible runny nose. But usually it doesn't work and I'm stuck with that 'medicine-fountain-head' feeling the next day. So, meds don't work. I don't like using sprays because they only work briefly and my mom actually buried her sense of smell by using a nasal spray, so that scared me away. In the end I just fight a losing affray until I eventually get over the cold.

Recently a terrible cold started going around at my office. I work in a humble office of a dozen people so it hit everybody - hard. I started going through the same rituals of steam, vapors, etc (they do seem to employment slightly, though it's often short-lived). After doing a little research I ran across this device. The whole thing sounded odd, but it did alter b transfer sense so out of desperation I decided to give it a try. Let me say, I'm never going back to my old rituals! This thing really is magic.

I can't believe how well the neti pot works! It's so open, so basic, but it works so well! When I flush my sinuses with the neti pot I get instant relief and long lasting relief at that! Before I would beg for at most 5 minutes of relief and now I can go at least a couple hours (and that's when my cold is at its worst). Unlike medicine my nose dries up enough to where it doesn't run at all! (But not too dry) It's almost too acceptable to be true, instant, long-lasting relief and no runny nose? No way! Also, I swear my cold is booming away much faster then usual. I'm writing this on my break and as I write this review I'm hearing people sniffle and talk side-splitting and they've had this cold for a couple weeks now. I just got this cold a few days ago and I'm feeling much better all-around. I'm not sure if this is portion me get over the cold faster then usual, but it sure seems that way.

I do have a few tips for you though if you decide to go this route -
First, if your nose is 100% blocked (or a nostril is) then the neti pot might not effort so well - you should have at least a little bit of air-movement through your nostrils. If you're totally blocked then try to clear your nose temporarily, even slightly, so you can use this hallmark. Try taking a hot shower, using a vapor-rub, or even try doing as many push-ups as you can (this really does work).

Try clearing out the most blocked nostril first. I have be familiar with reviews where people experience ear pain when using a neti pot. I think what happens is that people have a really plugged nostril and they start by distressing to clear the lesser-plugged nostril and the unclear nostril is so clogged that the solution takes another road - to the ear, which causes ear pain. If you start with the most plugged nostril then if the solution doesn't clear it, at least the solution is blocked rectify away and not taking another route in your head!

Don't tilt your head too much. Once you have the solution flowing through your sinuses and the neti pot starts to empty a bit, lately tilt the neti pot more, not your head. When I used this for the first time I tilted my head too far and I could feel the solution go deep in my ears and it caused a scarcely bit of ear pain. I immediately stopped so the pain wasn't too bad, but you can avoid it by not tilting too much. This all may sound complicated but it's not, at most watch a couple YouTube videos and you'll see how to do it correctly.

The neti pot isn't just great for colds and allergies - it's whole to use every day! Go ahead and use it so your sinuses are always nice and clean.

In the end I can't recommend this enough. It's the only thing that works well for me when I have a cold. When I'm over this cold quite I still plan on using this pot at least a few times a week, just to keep things clear. This device may sound queer (my wife thinks I'm nuts!) but it really does work. Try it!

:-) infer from me ha ha
I am good-looking happy. The product works well. I use it a few times a month and not disappointed with the purchase. I advise it to others when I see they would need it. I don't contract with sinus issues often like I use to. I think that its due to the product.
After 2 years I'm still using it regularly
I bought one of these about 2 years ago after seeing a equivalent one on Oprah. Someone actually did a demo on the show (can't remember if Oprah tried it herself) and said that it really cleared her sinuses. I've found it to be very possessions when I have a cold or allergies or sometimes during the winter when my nose just feels dry. It took a little while to get the hang of using it, for the most part just how far to tilt your head to the side and breathe through your mouth rather than your nose. You also want to use lukewarm water as your nose can be pulchritudinous sensitive. I found that it helped cleared by nose for several hours when I had a cold and when I was getting over the cold or had a runny nose due to allergies it made my nose and sinuses air a lot better.

It comes with some little measured packets that contain Sodium Bicarbonate and Sodium Chloride (baking soda and salty) that were easy to use. You can also use a pinch of sea salt and a pinch of baking soda to make your own if you like. I found it a little perplexing to get the amount of salt just right. If you use too much it burns. Using the little packets is enough of a convenience that I ordered a refill box SinuCleanse Saline Solving 60 Refill Packets SNC-IRG60 of those.

These pots look kind of like a cross between an Aladdin's ensorcellment lamp and a teapot and come in all sorts of materials, sizes and brands. They've been around for centuries and used in venerable times which makes them seem kind of exotic. Some are glass or ceramic instead of plastic like this one which isn't in fact very exotic looking but gets the job done. With my habit of dropping things in the sink, this works just prime. Simple product, easy to use, and it's effective. Two thumbs up!
Warmth my Neti Pot
I ordered this last year and it has been wondrous. It works great and I get clear sinuses every time. I do it before bed and I wake up without the stuffy nose I used to. When I have a heatless, I use this before bed and it works better that my nasal decongestant pills. It clears everything out and I can breathe! I have allergies but was having issues with my allergy prescription so I stopped taking it. I used my neti pot and didn't have a problem all summer.

Tip: When I did a whole packet at once, it stung at first. But now I only use half a bomb and that works great. I also recommend keeping the water tepid. It is much more soothing and feels better when its a unimaginative warm versus very cold.

I highly recommend! Easy to clean and durable. I see no need for ceramic. Less take place I'll break it.
Shamed & cheap plasric
I only just received this, I bought it as a gift and am dissapointed! It's small & cheap plastic! For the price, you can get one at Target that's bigger and easier to use!
Lousy plastic
This neti pot is made of trashy plastic. Yes, it's not breakable because it's just plastic. But it doesn't look nearly as nice as the ceramic transcribe. If I could do it again, I wouldn't order this type.

neti pot demo

A sneeze, a cough and sore throat, oh my! Daily Freeman Journal

The fog started to slowly be included and thicken. A quietness had settled in. And then I floated away.

Not the start of a dark fantasy, but the chaos of the later region of my body known as my head. The joys of being sick.

You always know when it's about to start. You could be feeling magnificent, body and mind, and just the slightest inclination (a cough or maybe intuition) tells you that the next week may be puke floundering pathetically.

If anyone is wondering, mine started with a tickle of the throat. Like the smallest little elf was clinging to the hanging ball thingy and condign flickering the back walls of my throat with a feather. That little demon. He seriously is on my last nerves. What gives him the lawful to be all up in there causing such a racket. Good grief, Charlie Brown.

And then the drainage. How lovely to think and a postcard about. But to save all from gagging, including me, I will just say that it's not fun. And my nose is red from all the tissues.

neti pot..?

I marked to try using a neti pot because I have really bad sinus problems. I started using it yesterday and my sinus seems the same, if not worse. I be aware results don't come right away, but if there's anyone out there that has used a neti pot, how long was it before you started tenderness that your sinus problem was gone?
nope

i tried the same fashion using a bulb syringe. My sinuses didn't feel much different but the scratchy throat and cough I had from sinus dribble was gone within a few hours

Are you using distilled adulterate?

i tried the same quirk using a bulb syringe. My sinuses didn't feel much different but the scratchy throat and cough I had from sinus bore was gone within a few hours

I don't use a neti pot, but I use a nasopure. It is basically the same quirk, only you can store the solution and water in the nasopure for several days. If you are having sinus problems, the neti pot is not going to salt them immediately. It will lessen the severity of your sinus problems--my guess is that your symptoms would have worsened if you hadn't old it.

You can use the pot several times a day and after the first week, you should feel a difference.

I started using the nasopure for the first time this winter. Last winter, I had a sinus infection all winter sustained, with horrible periods of sickness. This winter, I only had one sinus infection, that with the use of my nasopure, only lasted for 3 days. I toughened it during allergy season and no longer take claritin.

Hope this helps and I wish you well!

How can I clean a plastic neti pot thoroughly?

What is the best clothes way to make sure my plastic neti pot is 100% clean and sterilized. It can't be cleaned in the dishwasher, by the way.

u think twice search google

How long before I start seeing results using the Neti Pot?

I unprejudiced started using the Neti pot. I have used it twice now, and I still feel like one nostril is a bit plugged (it still alternates in 1 nostril being plugged).

Does it take some together before you start seeing complete results from the neti pot, or should I be feeling them right away? (If I'm suppose to undergo them right away, should I see a doctor about any anatomical blockages?)

Yes, see a doctor because the Neti pot is assume to provide a salt wash of the nasal canal causing drainage and relief. If that is not happening you possibly suffering from and infection and swelling. I have the same issue. I always have swelling so the nasal passage is almost always blocked. Go to the doctor. Satisfactory Luck.
