I well doubt the shape of your town reflects the drug use...every town has druggies and people who like getting anticyclone... my town isn't shaped like weed, but i still know a lot of people who do it.

The important element is to look at the symmetry of the design you want to make, then fold your shirt accordingly.
Alternatively, you can honest fold your shirt in half vertically, then draw the leaf shape on one side of the fold, leaving plenty of space for the inside of each leaf. (Use a plain ordinary pencil or a child's washable marker to draw.) Start at one anxious and scrunch the fabric up along the line until you get to the fold again, as in this page about how to tie-dye an Awareness Ribbon:

Both methods be lacking trial and error to get a great leaf shape. Don't expect your first attempt to be perfect.
